  1. Those upgrading from version 1.0 to 1.1 need only copy the new KINGDOM.EXE
  2. over the old copy.

  4. To upgrade Kingdom from Version 1.0 Beta to Version 1.0 (proper) do the
  5. following:
  6.  
  7. 1) Copy KINGDOM.EXE, WIZARD.TXT, INSTRUCT.KNG, and KING_UP.EXE into your
  8.    Kingdom directory.
  9. 2) Run KING_UP.EXE.  This program will update your SCOREDAT.KNG file to reflect
  10.    the new file structure.  Using this program will allow you to keep all the
  11.    current high scores.  All high score dates will be set to the date on which
  12.    you run KING_UP.  Once this process is done you may delete KING_UP.EXE as
  13.    you will no longer need it.
  14. 3) A line has been added to the config file.  Below are examples of the old
  15.    and new formats.  Note the new fossile parameter on line 7 of the new
  16.    config, pushing the registration number parameter down one from the old
  17.    config format.
  18. 4) Line 3 of the config has been altered.  You must now include the actual file
  19.    name of the door drop file.  For example, instead of just the path
  20.    (C:\BBS) you must now also include the file name (C:\BBS\DORINFO1.DEF)
  21. 5) I strongly suggest you skim the SYSOP.KNG documentation.  Much information
  22.    has been added.  At least take a look at the bottem of the file for a
  23.    listing of all Fixes, changes, and additions!
  24. 6) That's it, your upgraded.  I hope you enjoy the new version.  Keep those
