  6. The object of πKingdomΩ is simple: You are the ruler of a πkingdomΩ, make the
  7. biggest and most productive πkingdomΩ that you can in 50 years.  You will start
  8. off with a minimal amount of materials to work with.  You must use these
  9. materials to survive and produce more materials.
  10.  
  11. The basic unit of the game are σbushelsΩ.  σBushelsΩ are food, seed, and currency
  12. all wrapped into one.  Needless to say it is the key to the entire game.  Every
  13. season you will be required to make a number of decisions.  First you must
  14. decide how many σbushelsΩ to give to your ∞peasantsΩ to eat for the season.  The
  15. more they eat, the happier they are.  They will work harder in the fields and
  16. tend to make a few more babies, and less will generally die if they have some-
  17. thing to live for.  Next you must decide whether or not to buy or sell any
  18. εlandΩ.  Each acre of εlandΩ you buy or sell is traded for σbushelsΩ.  If you sell
  19. εland∞ you will get σbushelsΩ in return, and vice versa.  The market price
  20. fluctuates over different seasons.  Finally you decide how many acres to plant.
  21. It takes one σbushelΩ to plant an acre.  The more you plant the more you will
  22. potentially reap.  Be careful, planting all your σbushelsΩ can be dangerous!  You
  23. might want to keep some σbushelsΩ in store in case you have a bad year.  Be sure
  24. to realize that ∞peasantsΩ can only plant a certain amount of land.  The game will
  25. let you know if you are overworking your ∞peasantsΩ.

  27. At the end of the year you will receive a report stating how well the reaping
  28. went, how many births and deaths occurred and other information.  If you ever
  29. run out of ∞peasantsΩ, εlandΩ, or σbushelsΩ, then the game is over.  Note that the
  30. more births you have the more ∞peasantsΩ you will have to work in the fields.

  32. That's basically it.  It's a simple, but often frustrating games, especially
  33. when you are trying to secure the high score of your local BBS.  Remember that
  34. the key to running a productive πkingdomΩ is to make you ∞peasantsΩ happy!

  36. The level of difficulty can be set by your ΦSYSOPΩ.  The easy level your main
  37. object is to get used to how the game works, and be as productive as possible.
  38. The medium level is not so easy to master, and once you get to the hard level
  39. you might find yourself just fighting to stay alive!
