  8. The new installation module should create the appropriate directory structure 
  9. for you automatically. The following information is provided for informational 
  10. and debugging purposes, should it be needed after initial installation. These 
  11. paths are also referred to elsewhere regarding editing of configuration files.
  12.  
  13.   HOME: The directory in which all user directories go.
  14.  
  15.   MAN: The directory which holds all the manual and information files.
  16.   
  17.   LIB: This is the base path for control files used by UUCP and NEWS. 
  18.  
  19.   LIB\NEWS: Usenet news control files.
  20.  
  21.   LIB\UUCP: UUCP control files.
  22.  
  23.   NEWS: This is where all Usenet news and related information is stored.
  24.  
  25.   NEWS\OUTGOING: outgoing batch information
  26.  
  27.   NEWS\[GROUPS]: newsgroups. Examples: \NEWS\REC\ARTS\STARTREK

  31.   Whereas newsgroups are seperated by a "." in actual use, the articles
  32.   are stored in directories in which the "." has been replaced by a "\".

  34.   SPOOL: This is where all outgoing and incoming mail and news is stored.
  35.  
  36.   SPOOL\MAIL:  All local mailboxes are stored here.
  37.  
  38.   SPOOL\NEWS:  Temporary news storage space, news logs and arbitron results.

  40.   SPOOL\UUCP:  This is the base directory for all UUCP file storage. There are 
  41.                directories for each system that you talk to, which contains 
  42.                outgoing and incoming data and command files for that system. 
  43.                UUCICO transports files in and out of these directories, and 
  44.                UUXQT executes those command files which are bound for your 
  45.                system, or which your system needs to handle.

  47.   SPOOL\UUCP\TMP: Temporary UUCP file storage space.
  48.  
  49.   SPOOL\UUCP\[SYSTEM]: A directory for each system you poll (up to 8 chars). 
  50.                        This directory holds incoming files.
  51.  
  52.   SPOOL\UUCP\[SYSTEM]\[GRADE]: Outgoing UUCP files.
  53.  
  54.   NOTE: Please be sure that you use up to the full 8 characters! FSUUCP
  55.         now supports full system directory names. If a system name is
  56.         less than 8 characters, that's fine.
  57.  
  58.         FSUUCP will create spool directories that need to exist if they 
  59.         already don't.
