-
- File Manager is a small, fast way to update your file bases. It scans
- for files that don't exist, files that do exist but are marked offline,
- file records with incorrect sizes, and records with the wrong number
- of file points. It then corrects all those errors. File Manager is a
- very fast program compared to others that perform the same function!
- It defaults to skipping CD-ROM bases, but can optionally be forced to
- process them. Other options are to delete records marked offline, and
- to not change the date of fixed records.
-
- I have submitted File Manager to the public domain. You don't need to
- pay me any money, but you could tell me how you like it. If you really
- want to thank me, spread the word on how great Digital Reality Software
- and FTLnet are (along with my BBS number)! Of course, monetary support
- for my software is always encouraging, and appreciated.

-
- It's simple: copy the executable file to the main BBS directory, and
- run it.
-
- The command line should look like this:
-
- FileMan [Toggles]
-
- Available toggles are:
-
- /C : Fix CD-ROM bases (default off)
- /D : Delete "offline" records (default off)
- /N : No changing of upload date
-
- Simple, right? I hope so!
-
- I do not guarantee that this program will work with all setups, although
- I have tested it thoroughly and feel that it is safe. You don't need to
- worry about anything besides your file bases, since File Manager doesn't
- write anything else. If there are any problems, or you have an idea for
- improving the program, notify me at my home BBS or through FTLnet.
