- CLIST (c)
- by

-
-
- The CLIST program creates a file called FDMSG.IDX & FDMSG.DAT.
- This file is required to find node addresses.
-
- These program should be run EVERY time you receive a new nodelist(s).
- In other words every time you run FDNC or IMNC.
-
- If you are in more than one net (who isn't in this day and age) you
- can use a file called CLIST.CFG and it contains all Net nodelist info
- EXCEPT for the standard FidoNet nodelist.
- All nodelist names _MUST_ have an extension see example below.
- All files must be in NODELIST format!!!
-
- The CLIST.EXE & CLIST.CFG files should be in the same directory as
- your fido nodelist...
-
- You do _NOT_ have to make the file CLIST.CFG.
- CLIST will inform you which file it is using.
-
- CLIST.EXE looks for CLIST.CFG before looking for FDNODE.CTL....
-
- Example:
-
- Begnet.pvt
- WsNet.*
-
-
- The above 2 examples shows that the Begnet.pvt is the nodelist name for
- BEGNET and does not have a different number each week
- The WsNet with the "*" for the extension shows the extension changes each
- week. The CLIST program will use the highest extension number it finds so
- beware at the end of each year...
-
- To call the program just enter CLIST.
-
- If you update your nodelist via a batch file then insert CLIST at
- the end of the batch file.

- indexing which has increased the speed at which this software runs.
