  4. >>> This is NOT a registration form. Please file request "FDSWREG" (sans
  5.     quotes) from any of the sites listed in REGSITES.TXT to receive a
  6.     valid registration form.
  7.  
  8.     The price of registration should roughly equal LUF 1600.- (LUF is
  9.     equal to BEF), EXCLUDING local VAT and other applicable taxes. The
  10.     reason for not having a FIXED amount is because currency exchange
  11.     rates vary frequently. LUF 1600.- is roughly USD $50.00.
  12.  
  13.     You MUST obtain, fill out, and return a valid registration form to the
  14.     registration site you wish to register with before you attempt to
  15.     register this software. Simply sending a message with your details is
  16.     not sufficient.
  17.  
  18.     The registration form will include a licence agreement that you are
  19.     required to print and sign as part of the registration form. The below
  20.     text is a copy of that agreement. If you cannot, for any reason,
  21.     accept the terms and conditions of this licence agreement, you may not
  22.     use the FrontDoor 2.12/Shareware software.
  23.  
  24.     Please do not make any of the files included in the REGISTER.ARJ
  25.     archive requestable as licencing and registration information may
  26.     change from time to time.

  30.      FRONTDOOR 2.12 SHAREWARE VERSION LICENCE AGREEMENT - "FFHA194k"

  32.  1.  This is a licence agreement between you, the end user, and Joaquim
  33.      Homrighausen, hereafter "the author". The FrontDoor 2.12 Shareware
  34.      software and information attached hereto, hereafter "FD", is the
  35.      property of the author. Read the terms and conditions of this licence
  36.      agreement carefully before using the software. If you for any reason,
  37.      whatsoever, cannot accept the conditions in this agreement, you are
  38.      not permitted to use FD.

  40.  2.  You acknowledge and agree that FD is a proprietary product of the
  41.      author, protected by applicable copyright laws and international
  42.      treaty provisions. You further acknowledge and agree that all rights,
  43.      title, and interest in and to FD are and shall remain with the
  44.      author.

  46.  3.  FD may be used for a period of thirty (30) days on a trial basis to
  47.      allow you to determine its suitability for your particular
  48.      application. After this period you MUST register each copy of FD that
  49.      you run simultaneously.

  51.  4.  Registration entitles you to a non-transferable licence to use FD and
  52.      any future versions of FD for as long as you wish, subject to any
  53.      special licensing conditions and/or applicable upgrade fees attached
  54.      to future versions.

  56.  5.  In the event that you are in violation of this licence agreement, you
  57.      agree and accept that the author may cancel your registration and any
  58.      rights to use FD that you may have. In the case of a dispute over the
  59.      licence agreement, you further agree and accept to fully reimburse
  60.      the author for legal and other expenses resulting from the dispute,
  61.      should the dispute be decided in favor of the author.

  63.  6.  FD is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind or fitness for a
  64.      particular purpose, either expressed or implied, all of which are
  65.      hereby explicitly disclaimed. The author only guarantees that
  66.      FrontDoor will occupy disk space.
  67.  
  68.      The author's liability resulting from your use or inability to use FD
  69.      is limited to the amount that the affected party has paid for it, or
  70.      in the event that FD was registered with a third party for payment to
  71.      the author, liability is limited to the amount that was received by
  72.      the author from that third party.

  74.  7.  Neither the author nor any of his employees, agents, or other
  75.      representatives are in any way obligated to provide future versions
  76.      of, or support for, FD.

  78.  8.  You may freely distribute and copy FD provided that no fee is charged
  79.      and the FD distribution archive contains unmodified copies of the
  80.      original files as produced by the author. Pay Bulletin Board Systems
  81.      may, however, charge their normal fee provided that no additional
  82.      charge for FD is levied. No part of FD may be modified, altered,
  83.      reverse engineered, sold, or distributed in any form whatsoever which
  84.      would involve some sort of trade without prior written permission
  85.      from the author.

  87.  9.  FD may only be used and registered, with taxed personal income, by
  88.      physical persons for use on equipment, including but not limited to
  89.      telephone lines, electricity, hardware, and software, maintained and
  90.      operated 100% by means of taxed personal income. FD may not be used
  91.      to provide commercial services.

  93.  10. Place of jurisdiction is the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and this
  94.      agreement is subject to the law and regulations of the Grand Duchy of
  95.      Luxembourg. In the case of any of the provisions of this agreement
  96.      not being legally effective or losing its legal validity due to some
  97.      subsequent circumstance, or in the case of a gap in this agreement
  98.      coming into light, the legal validity of the remaining provisions
  99.      will not be affected. An appropriate regulation is to take place of
  100.      the ineffective provisions or fill the gap, which as far as legally
  101.      possible, comes nearest to fulfilling the intentions of the author
  102.      had he considered the matter in question. If the invalidity of a
  103.      provision is due to a scale of the performance contained therein,
  104.      then a legally permissible scale is to be inserted with due regard to
  105.      the aforesaid.
