- SETUP NOTES
- ===========
- The install program will create a BRAINEX directory in the root of the
- drive you specify. All Door Manager files will be copied there. Your door
- files will also be copied there automatically by the SETUP.BAT file
- included in each door zip file. The BRAINEX directory will be added to
- your path statement, and the environment variable:
-
- BRAINEX=C:\BRAINEX\BRAINEX.INI
-
- will be added by a SET command. The drive letter will be the actual one you
- specify.
-
-
- Once the setup is complete, you can delete the files from the work directory.
- REBOOT to let DOS update the PATH and SET commands added to the your
- AUTOEXEC.BAT file by Brainex. To configure Brainex for your BBS,
- change to the BRAINEX directory, then type BRAINSET.
-
-
- Read NETWORK.DOC for information about networks and Brainex!
-
- TROUBLE?
- ========
-
- * If for any reason your AUTOEXEC.BAT file did not get updated, you
- can manually add the SET and PATH modifications using an ASCII text
- editor. On line 2 of AUTOEXEC.BAT place:
-
- SET BRAINEX=C:\BRAINEX\BRAINEX.INI
-
- Next add the BRAINEX directory to your path statement. If you installed
- to C: you would add:
-
- C:\BRAINEX
-
- Example:
-
- PATH=C:\DOS;C:\BRAINEX
-
- Once you have edited AUTOEXEC.BAT, reboot the computer, then run
- BRAINSET from the Brainex directory.
