- Archive File : AUTOTALK.ARC

- Author : Ray F Genovese (301) 270-0530

- Contents : SAY.EXE and several data files (*.SAY)
-
- Desciption : Examples (humorous?) of digitized speech.
-
- SAY.EXE takes a speech data file as an argument (e.g. SAY TIRED.SAY) and
- speaks the file. A nice effect is to put them in an autoexec.bat file as
- a joke. The slight delay before you hear the speech is to wait until the
- IRQ turns off the disk drive (I guess I was to lazy to find out how to do
- it manually). I had a lot of fun digitizing speech and programming it on
- the IBM. On the one hand it is not very clear, but it is still amazing
- (to me) how much you can do with one bit (the speaker input) and how much
- your brain fills in for you. I welcome any comments or whatever.

- User Note...Cosmetic changes: (1) SAY.EXE was misnamed as a .com file.
- (2) Original archive name: AUTOTALK.ARC.
- (3) *.say files originally *.spc files.
