- ProBoard Automatic Time Adjuster
- ==============================================================================
-
- Yooooooo,
-
- Hi to you all, I know you hate these stupid docs more than I do. So, let's
- start immediately explaining this proggy...
-
- This BBS door is made to run together with ProBoard version 1.30 or above. So,
- sorry you RA users .. hehehe
-
- It's an BPS upgrade door and a ratio door at the same time... So you can adjust
- a user his time according to his BPS rate and check his ratio too.
-
- ==============================================================================
- Installation
- ==============================================================================
-
- Quite simple though, but I will explain it anyway to annoy you. ;-)
-
- Just put ADJUST.PEX in your PEX directory (e.g. C:\PROBOARD\PEX) and put the
- ADJUST.INI file in your ProBoard directory (e.g. C:\PROBOARD).
-
- Make a door type 60 in the menu of your own choice and put in the datafield
- 'ADJUST'. That's all for ProBoard.
-
- Now you can edit the ADJUST.INI file with your favorite ASCII editor. Make
- sure you DON'T change the values in the left column or the program will not
- work !!! The right column represents the number of minutes a user should
- receive more/less than his standard time, and this according to his
- modemspeed. You can use values ranging from -32768 to +32768....
-
- e.g. Let's say you want to give your 2400 BPS users an extra time of 15
- minutes and you want your 19200 BPS users to give in 10 minutes.
-
- Change then the following lines...
- ...
- 2400 = 15
- ...
- 19200 = -10
- ...
- Easy huh ;-)
-
- Now the little ratio checker... You can change the ratio setting in the
- ADJUST.INI file. On the last line you will see 'Adjust = 0'. This means that
- there is no current ratio checking activated and only the amount of donwloaded
- and uploaded programs (in KB) will be shown to your users. You can change this
- value from 0 to 9... e.g. If you make 5 of it.. Your users will have a ratio
- of 1:5... This means that their upload will be mulitplied by 5 and substracted
- from the total downloads... If the result is negative the program will give a
- warning to the user... BUT The program does *NOT* change any userlevel !!!
- So you are still the person who does the downgrading here.
-
- I also included a small checker for registered users. When a user has
- registered and you have filled out the Expiration date in his record, ADJUST
- will show the user everytime he logs in, his days left before expiration. Can
- be handy for the user I thought :-)
-
- ==============================================================================
- Payment
- ==============================================================================
-
- I can already hear you GRMBL ;-) This program is FREEWARE for everyone.. as
- long as you don't change it in *ANY* way... I'm still *NOT* responsable for
- any damages caused (directly or indirectly) by the program.
-
- I would like that you just let me know that you are using it at 2:292/119.1
- (name follows at the end of the text) or at least call my BBS, if you hate
- writing.
-
- That's all folks ........
-
- Oooh yeah, Thanks to Harald and Bjorn Ramsak for testing this little proggy.
- You can find their BBS number in de bbslist included in this archive.
-
- Bye..
