-
- This Program is a simple, easy to use, and easy to setup.
-
- Configuration:
-
- When you firstly get OTDOOR, run OTD140.EXE with no command line
- paramitors.. This will activate the built-in configuration program.
-
- To run OTDOOR a batch file listed below would do the trick. You can also
- look at the example batch file included in this archive. It's filename is
- OTD140.BAT.
-
- ----Start Of Batch File----
- @Echo Off
- C:
- CD\RA\OTDOOR
- OTD140.EXE C:\RA\NODE%1\DORINFO1.DEF
- CD\RA\NODE%1
- ----End Of Batch File----
-
- To run this batch file you should pass on the node number to the batch file.
- For RemoteAccess/EzyCom this is how the command would look.
-
- *C /C C:\RA\OTDOOR\OTDOOR.BAT *N *M
-
- *N - Passes on the Node Number that the user is using.
- *M - Makes more memory for the program to run by copying RA out of memory
- and onto the hard disk.
- *C & /C - *C invokes COMMAND.COM and /C tells it to do sumfin else..

- Customising The User Interface To Suit Your BBS.
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
- Ansi Files:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~
-
- OTD-EXIT.ANS This file is displayed to the user just before OTD exit's back
- to the BBS/DOS Prompt.
-
- OTD-EXEC.ANS This file is displayed to the user just before the Mail Check
- in On-Line Trading Door.
-
- OTD-MENU.ANS This is the On-Line Trading Door's Main Menu ANSi file. You
- may change this to suit your BBS's/Intranet's colour scheme
- or theme.
-
- OTD-ADD.ANS This is the little 3-Line banner at the top of the screen your
- users will see when they go to Add An Advert. It's located
- above the Advert Writer.
-
- OTD-MSG.ANS This is the part of the Message Writer screen. It's the first
- 5 lines on the screen. Users will see then when they reply to
- an advert or reply to mail in their message box.
-
- OTD-MSG2.ANS This will be displayed to your users when they go to read mail
- in their message box.
-
- OTD-LINE.ANS This is used in only 2 parts of On-Line Trading Door. It's just
- a simple line. On-Line Trading Door uses this where it needs
- to just simply draw 1 line across the screen.
-
- OTD-HELP.ANS This is the screen shown to the user when they press the help
- button from the Main Menu. Feel free to edit this screen.
-
- OTD-KILL.ANS This is the banner across the top of the screen the user will
- see when they go to delete an advert from the Main Menu.
-
- OTD-AREA.ANS This is a 3-Line banner accross the top of the screen the user
- will see when they go to do an Area Change. This banner along
- with most other banners should NEVER exceed 3 lines.
- _____________________________
- A NOTE ON EDITING ANSI FILES:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- You are granted permission to edit any ANSi/ASCii file that the On-Line Trading
- Door comes with. When you are editing these ANSi/ASCii files you should make
- sure that you do not exceed the original length and width of the original
- banner before it had been edited. Doing so may cause shocking results on the
- users and SysOp's end, Mainly muddled up ANSi/ASCii Display.
-

- Other Files You Can Change:
- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- LOCKOUT.LST This file you can put users names and alias's into if they
- abuse the On-Line Trading Door.
-
- OTDAREAS.CFG This is a plan text file used for OTD so it can display which
- areas the users can go into to read/write adverts. This will
- currently only support 99 areas before the program may start
- getting filenames confused and redirecting advert area 100 to
- advert area 1.. This is easily fixed and fill be fixed in a
- later version. I dont see the need to go over 99 areas though,
- but if you need to, contact me and I'll make it support an
- infinate amount of areas.
-
- OTD-CONF.CFG On-Line Trading Door's configuration file. Change as you wish.
- To make a brand new configuration file, just delete the old
- one and run OTD140.EXE again.
