- will take you to get the modem set up (add 1 minute for YAK/BEM).

- 3. Double-click on the Modem object in the Server folder.
- 4. Double-click on the Local Player object in the Server folder to start
- your game.
- 5. PLAY BEM!!!
-
- For an Internet/LAN TCPIP connection, using the MultiSession Server:
- 1. If not on a LAN, start your SLIP connection.
- 2. Double-click on the Overseer object in the Server folder.
- 3. Double-Click on the Multisession Server, and enter desired port number.
- 4. Tell your Clients your Hostname/IP address and the port number
- of the server; these will be the same for every Client.

-
- For a Direct connection (two machines connected by a serial cable):

- 2. Double-click on the Direct-Connect object in the Server folder.

-
- Note for users with more than one Direct or Modem connection:
- It is easy to use multiple modems or multiple direct connections
- to play BEM. The Server objects are defaulted to display the
- existing window. To use more than one direct connection or more
- than one modem, simply change the default behavior in the objects'
- settings to "Create new window."
-
- Troubleshooting:
-
- Note that YAK is running minimized. If you receive any communication
- errors, go to the window list and CLOSE YAK.
