- GLOOMY BREED
- ============
-
- Hello Gloomy Breeder! Thanks for giving this a try!
-
- The Gloomy Breed stuff available right now is just a work-in-progress
- demo version so it doesnt come with any nice installers or anything.
- I will write one eventually, but not just yet.
-
- One final note, do not upload these archives to Aminet or any other
- BBS/site. They are a work-in-progress demo and I don't want them
- spread until the final version is ready.
-
-
- DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS
- =====================
-
- If you are going to be using Gloom Deluxe in any screenmode apart
- from "Classic", then you need to download the "GBreed256.lha" archive.
- If you are going to be using Classic Gloom or playing Gloom Deluxe in
- "Classic" mode then you need "GBreed4096.lha" instead.
-
- Note that if you try to use the files from GBreed4096.lha with Gloom
- Deluxe running in any mode apart from "Classic" then you can be sure
- of a crash! You absolutely *have* to use GBreed256.lha, OK?
-
- So:
- - Classic Gloom or Gloom Deluxe in "Classic" mode => GBreed4096.lha
- - Gloom Deluxe in any screenmode apart from "Classic" => GBreed256.lha
-
-
- INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
- =========================
-
- 1) Go into the "misc" directory where you have Gloom installed and rename
- the "script" file to something else eg: "script.original"
-
- 2) Extract the archive you downloaded to where you have Gloom installed.
- Don't worry, no files will be overwritten.
-
- eg:
- > cd GAMES:Gloom/
- > lha x RAM:GBreed256.lha
-
- 3) Thats it! Now when you start Gloom you will be playing the Gloomy Breed
- levels instead of the normal ones.
-
- Should you wish to return to the normal Gloom levels, simply delete the
- existing "misc/script" file and rename the "misc/script.original" back
- to "misc/script".
-
- My apologies for this kludgy method of doing things :( In the future, it
- will be changed and made suitably easy, promise! In any case, if you have
- any questions or problems then please do not hesitate to get in touch.
-
- Finally, I hope you enjoy Gloomy Breed!
- Your comments are welcome!
