  10. DateString is a Custom Class of the Magic User Interface © by Stefan Stuntz.
  11. It's a subclass of string-class and date-class.

  13. The idea of this class was born during developing my Gregor application.
  14.  
  15. MUI public custom class displaying a string gadget for date strings. The
  16. display format of the date string can be freely defined. An input string can
  17. be parsed by the given format string (see below), or in over 40 known
  18. formats.

  20. DateString.mcc features that are of interest for users:
  21.  - Handles years from 8 to 8000
  22.  - Supports the Gregorian calendar reform
  23.  - Supports drops of other date objects and date-strings
  24.  - Can be dragged around
  25.  - A week can begin with any weekday
  26.  - Supports various string formats via template
  27.  - Can autodetect over 40 date-string formats

  29. DateString.mcc features of interest for developers:
  30.  - Based on Date.mcc
  31.  - Supports MUIM_Import and MUIM_Export
  32.  - The date can be read as day/month/year format or as JD or MJD
  33.  - The date range can be restricted
  34.  - Method to set the current date
  35.  - Methods for increasing and decreasing the date
  36.  - Method to compare with another date object

  40. Now, before you go on, you should validate whether all files are unmodified,
  41. use the md5sum utility together with the checksums appended to this text.
