- GCopy (or Groovy Copy) is a replacement for the standard "copy" command,
- as supplied with AmigaDOS. It works in much the same way, except that GCopy
- displays a little "guage" along the top of the CLI window as it copies.
-
- GCopy looks nicer, and you can get an idea of how long you are going to wait
- to copy a file. GCopy is fast, just look at these times:
-
- Copied file size From To Time (Secs:100ths)
-
- 2020970 Harddisk Ram 02:18 (copy)
- 01:85 (gcopy)
-
- 15872000 Harddisk Harddisk 40:73 (copy)
- 32:29 (gcopy)
-
- (Test setup: A1200, Blizzard 1230 MkIV with 8 megs fast, Western Digital
- Caviar 640MB IDE harddisk)
