  4.    through.  if you're behind a firewall, and you can tell your
  5.    firewall software to make a "peephole" on a certain port, you
  6.    would need to set this to make sure that all file transfers
  7.    go through the peephole.  (normally, DCC file transfers grab
  8.    the nearest unused port.)  there are also various other security
  9.    uses for this.
