  5. We  at CONSULTRON would like to thank you for purchasing CrossDOS.  We
  6. are  always  trying  to  provide  you  with a quality product for your
  7. productivity needs.

  9. The  files included with this archive are patches to be applied to the
  10. CrossDOS  product  disk.  Once the patches are applied, you can use it
  11. from the product disk or reinstall it on your hard drive.

  15. Patching CrossDOS
  16.  
  17. These patches will only patch your CrossDOS product disk to 6.06 if it
  18. is one of the following releases:
  19.  
  20. 6.00 6.01 6.02 6.03 6.04
  21. You  can identify which release you have by displaying the second line
  22. in the "READ.ME" file on your product disk.
  23.  
  24. The following steps should be used to patch successfully.
  25.  
  26. 1.   Make a "diskcopy" of the original CrossDOS product disk.  Use the
  27. copy of CrossDOS for patching ONLY.
  28.  
  29. 2.   Make  sure  the copy of CrossDOS is named "CrossDOS".  Rename the
  30. disk  if  necessary.   (ie.   remove "copy of " or "copy_of_" from the
  31. name)
  32.  
  33. 3.  From Workbench, double-click on the "Patcher" icon.
  34.  
  35. 4.   Answer  the few questions presented.  Go get a cup of [..........
  36. insert your favorite drink here .......].
  37.  
  38. 5.  If you wish to use the updated programs from the product disk, you
  39. may  need  to  reboot  your  Amiga  to flush the old programs from the
  40. system.   If  you previously installed our product, reinstall it again
  41. and  reboot  the system.  DO NOT reconfigure any CrossDOS hard drives.
