-
- 1. Add-In Manager and Add-ins compatible with ISIS Desktop 2.3
-
- The following version of the Add-In Manager and Add-ins are compatible
- with ISIS Desktop 2.3:
- version
- -------
- Add-in Manager 2.3
- (ISISAIM.DLL on Microsoft Windows Platforms)
- (IsisBaseAddinMgr.cres and IsisDrawAddinMgr.cres on MacOS platforms)
-

- Transfer to Sculpt(Base) 1.0.0 (ISIS/Base)
-
- As with prior versions of the Add-in Manager, MDL does NOT support multiple,
- concurrent installations. Preference information is written to the ISISAIM.INI
- and ISISAIHP.INI files in the Windows directory.
-
- If you are having a problem accessing the Help for the Add-ins or Add-in
- Manager, you should exit ISIS, then delete the ISISAIM.INI and ISISAIHP.INI
- files. When you restart ISIS, the Add-in manager will regenerate these files
- automatically.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 2. What's New (2.3)
-
- The Copyright information has been updated for the Add-in Manager and all the
- add-ins.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 3. Known Problems and Limitations (2.3)
-
- In the standard installation for Windows NT, the Rasmol add-ins may not be
- functional, as RasMol.exe is unable to interpret the long path names that are
- passed to it. This is primarily because Rasmol.exe is a 16-bit application. The
- problem does NOT occur with Windows 95.
-
- The Sculpt add-ins for both ISIS/Base and ISIS/Draw are not supported on WinNT-J
- as Sculpt is currently not supported on this platform. The Sculpt Add-ins ARE
- supported on Win95-J.
-
- On the Macintosh, when you click the System Info tab in the Add-in-Manager
- dialog, the application crashes due to an incompatibility with the LaserWriter 8
- printer driver. This issue has been reported to Apple. Response is pending at
- date of release.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 4. Add-ins - Compatibility with Prior Versions
-
- The 2.0.2 add-ins should be used ONLY with the ISIS 2.0.2 release version or
- later. They can cause serious problems if used with an older version of ISIS.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 5. ISIS/Draw Add-ins - Changes, New Features, Problems Fixed
-
- The following Add-ins are new:
-
- Transfer to Sculpt(Draw) 1.0.0 (ISIS/Draw)
- Export Import BSD files 1.0.0 (ISIS/Draw)
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 6. ISIS/Draw Add-ins - Known Problems and Limitations
-
- CW-20264 - DRWFILES: Launching ISIS/Draw by opening sketch generates no entry.
- A fix to the PL StartFileTrigger is required to fix this problem.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 7. ISIS/Base Add-ins - Changes, New Features, Problems Fixed
-
- The following Add-ins are new:
-
- Toxicity to Metabolite 2.0.2 (ISIS/Base)
- Transfer to Sculpt(Base) 1.0.0 (ISIS/Base)
-
- Display Molecular Values Add-in has fix for:
-
- cct00004835 - Cannot Set Decimal Places for Mol Weight in Display Mol Values
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 8. ISIS/Base Add-ins - Known Problems and Limitations
-
- CW-20221 - BSEFILES: Long file paths do not generate menu entries.
-
- CW-20881 - Hydrogen labels clipped when BSMOLVAL Add-in enabled.
- In both these cases, the clipping will still occur when viewing
- structures with molecular values in a table. On a box form object,
- you need to click the 'Zoom' box in the lower right corner to see
- the entire structure.
-
- CW-20897 - Importing data using the Import Table Add-in avoids vocabulary
- control of fields. The add-in can validate against the vocabulary on
- Fixed and Variable text fields, and now warns users when leaving the
- 'Step 4' dialog when it finds an Integer, Real, Range or Date field
- having a vocabulary. The Add-in cannot validate these field types due
- to a limitation in ISIS PL.
-
- CW-21348 - Import Table Add-in won't link on a field with a dash in the name.
- Field names containing a dash can ONLY be created via a PL
- application, such as the CBTOISIS ChemBase database porting tool. We
- recommend changing the field name to remove the dash.
-
- CW-20490 - ASCIMP: Assigning child fields (no reg) blocks parent import.
- Instead, set the child fields to 'Unassigned.'
-
- CW-21438 - Unable to configure RASWIN.HLP file location. This is a RasWin
- problem.
-
- CW-20933 - MAC only: Misalignment of descriptions in "Change Form" dialog.
-
- CW-21711 - Change Form dialog may show extra lines and rectangles.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 9. Add-In manager 2.3 - Changes, New Features, Problems Fixed
-
- * Add-in Manager 2.3 supports 32-bit Windows 95 and Windows NT.
-
- * No new problems fixed in this release.
-
- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- 10. Add-In manager 2.3 - Known Problems and Limitations
-
- 1. If the user chooses to install from a self-extracting Add-in archive,
- they see a list of .exe files. If the user then selects a Windows executable,
- the .exe file that they choose will be run.
-
- 2. On Windows NT systems, end users must have Write access to the ISISAIM.INI,
- ISISAIHP.INI and ISISSAR.INI files which reside in the Windows directory. If
- not, the Add-in Manager will not run.
-
- CW-20674 - GetNextInstalledAddin & GetNextAddinHelpTopic will conflict if used
- in the same routine. This is because all the GetFirst/GetNext add-in
- intrinsics currently share the same memory following the first
- GetFirst... call. The recommended method is to accumulate the names
- for one type in an array or linked list, then go to the next type.
-
- CW-19232 - AIM misbehaves on root-level add-in directories.
-
- CW-19920 - MountNetFileService can fail when username parameter is specified.
-
- CW-24625 - Mac only: System Info crashes ISIS/Draw or ISIS/Base when running on
- Mac OS 8.X. This is caused by the LaserWriter 8 printer driver. To
- fix this problem, replace the LaserWriter 8 driver with the
- LaserWriter driver.
