  7. Welcome to AUTO-CODE, a CAM system for AutoCAD Release 12.
  8.  
  9. !!!   AUTO-CODE requires AutoCAD Release 12 for DOS or WINDOWS to run.  
  10. !!!   Will work with AutoCAD Release 13 for DOS.
  11.  
  12. This copy of AUTO-CODE is distrubuted free of charge.  Because of the
  13. large number of requests for an opportunity to work with the software
  14. before making a final purchase decision, AUTO-CODE was born from the
  15. popular NC-AUTO-CODE software for AutoCAD.  AUTO-CODE is a sub-set of
  16. NC-AUTO-CODE and was designed to be very easy to use and learn.

  18. To install AUTO-CODE on your computer, follow the directions listed
  19. below.  AUTO-CODE is distributed using PkWare's PKZIP compression
  20. utility which is available from most Bulletin Board Systems.  You
  21. will need a copy of the PKUNZIP program to complete the installation.

  23. From the MS-DOS command line [outside of Windows, or in a DOS Shell]:

  25. X = Your CD Drive Letter
  26.  
  27. CD \ACADWIN       <--- Your directory may be different.
  28. MD AC             <--- Can be any directory desired.
  29. CD AC
  30. COPY X:\ARGDEMOS\AUTOCODE\AC12.ZIP <--- Copy AC12.ZIP from where ever it exists.

  32. PKUNZIP -d AC12   <--- -d option creates directories

  38. After installing the files in the ZIP file, use WRITE inside WINDOWS
  39. to view and print the READ1ST.WRI and ORDER.WRI files.  READ1ST.WRI
  40. contains simple instructions that introduce AUTO-CODE's operations
  41. while ORDER.WRI contains information about ordering a production
  42. copy of AUTO-CODE.
