  75.    reporting is greatly appreciated.  Please use the following guidelines to
  76.    report any bug and e-mail it to pmmail@southsoft.com.  Following these
  77.    instructions is essential to getting the bug properly fixed and a reply

  80.    If you are reporting a bug, please let us know:

  82.         - The *EXACT* steps in reproducing this bug.  Make sure that you can
  83.      reproduce this bug before you tell us about it.

  85.         - If there is a problem with a specific e-mail message, send us the
  86.      e-mail message as an *ATTACHMENT*.  Do NOT forward or bounce the message
  87.      to us. The bug report will be incomplete without this.  To find the
  88.      e-mail message, look under the PMMail root directory and follow the
  89.      directory structure into the account (*.ACT subdirectory) it is in, and
  90.      then the folder (*.FLD subdirectory) it is in.  Take a look at the
  91.      FOLDER.BAG file to obtain the name of the e-mail message.  You can also
  92.      drag and drop the message to attach it to a note.

  94.         - The version of OS/2 (with fixpack numbers), other programs that you
  95.      frequently run when PMMail is running, and your network setup.

  102.         - Please understand that all feature requests get added to a feature
  103.      database.  We do not necessarily determine on the spot if your feature
  104.      will be in the next release or not.  Usually, some amount of research
  105.      must be done before this can be determined.

  108. Installing PMMail
  109. ==============================================================================

  111.      1. Unzip the distribution file PMMAIL.ZIP to a temp directory
  112.         or a floppy disk.
  113.  
  114.      2. Switch to the directory in which you unzipped PMMAIL.ZIP
  115.         and run INSTALL.EXE.
  116.  
  117.      3. Follow the on-screen instructions.  If you are upgrading from PMMail
  118.         1.0-1.1, install into a new directory and migrate your PMMail 1.0-1.1
  119.         installation.  If you are upgrading from PMMail 1.5x, see the
  120.         special installation notes in the next section.
  121.  
  122.      4. Once installation is complete, a PMMail folder will appear on your
  123.         desktop.  Inside it you will find a PMMail icon and several files
  124.         which will provide some valuable information.  Please read these
  125.         files before running PMMail (especially the PMMail ReadMe).

  130. Special Installation Notes

  133.    Upgrading From PMMail 1.5x
  134.    --------------------------

  136.       When upgrading from PMMail 1.5x, please make sure to have the install
  137.    routine install PMMail in the PARENT directory of the directory where the
  138.    PMMail executable (PMMAIL.EXE) is currently installed.
  139.  
  140.       For example if PMMail 1.5x is currently installed in
  141.    F:\APPS\SOUTHSDE\PMMAIL, specify F:\APPS\SOUTHSDE as the "SouthSide
  142.    Install Directory".
  143.  
  144.       As well, if PMMail 1.5x is currently installed in
  145.    F:\SOUTHSDE\PMMAIL, specify F:\SOUTHSDE as the "SouthSide Install
  146.    Directory".

  148.       For a final install example, if PMMail 1.5x is currently installed in
  149.    F:\PMMAIL, specify F:\ as the "SouthSide Install Directory".

  153.   Installing From a Floppy Disk
  154.   -----------------------------

  156.            If you seem to be having trouble installing PMMail from a floppy
  157.   disk and you are getting an error from IBM's software installer that says it
  158.   can't find DISK 1, try labeling the floppy disk PMM196DISK1 using the LABEL
  159.   command from the OS/2 command line.
