  2. PMMPEG.EXE Release 2.0 - An OS/2 Presentation Manager MPEG movie player.

  4. This program will  play MPEG  (Motion Picture  Experts Group)  digital
  5. movies in a window on your OS/2 desktop.  It can handle I-Frame  style
  6. movies that are used by the DOS Xing MPEG player, plus IBP-Frame style
  7. movies that the Xing  can't currently handle.   It cannot play  movies
  8. that have embedded sounds,  such as those  generated by the  ReelMagic
  9. card.

  11. I received a great deal of quality feedback from dozens of people that
  12. tried the first release of PMMPEG.   Here  are  of  some  of  the  new
  13. features that have been implemented based on your suggestions.  Please
  14. continue to send suggestions and  bug reports,  it will  help to  make
  15. PMMPEG better for everyone.

  17. * Toolbar with tape controls (Play/Stop/Rewind/Step/Size/Color/Loop)
  18. * Accept MPEG filename on command line and automatically play it
  19.   - Useful for Mosaic, Desktop Object, Associating all MPEG movies
  20. * Command line options for playback size, color and looping
  21. * Configuration data saved between runs
  22. * Drag/Drop MPEG movie onto PMMPEG
  23. * Double size playback is possible both in Color and Grayscale
  24. * Now plays more movies than Release 1 could handle
  25.  
  26. PMMPEG is  now a  Shareware program.   The cost  is $15  and has  been
  27. bargain priced to recoup some of the development, postage and  network
  28. costs associated with distributing it.

  30. PMMPEG can  be  ftp'd  from  ftp.cdrom.com.   It's  currently  in  the
  31. /pub/os2/incoming directory as pmmpeg20.zip, but will be moved shortly
  32. to /pub/os2/2_x/mmedia.
