-
- VGAFONT.COM was written by Doug Cox, Jan, 1988, for IBM PS/2 computers
- with VGA capability (Models 50, 60, and 80). It just needs a few
- changes to work on Models 25 and 30.
-
- It is used to edit the character set (fonts) used by those computers.
-
- When you run VGAFONT, the file VGAFONT.DTA is loaded by the program, if
- it can be found on the current disk directory; otherwise, the normal ROM
- BIOS character set is put into the program's buffer. When you exit
- VGAFONT, you're asked if you want to save the edited character set in
- VGAFONT.DTA. If you want to save more than one character set, rename
- VGAFONT.DTA. You're also asked if you want to use the edited character
- set when you exit.
-
- When a video mode change is made, the character set reverts to the
- normal ROM BIOS character set. (Which happens when VGAFONT is run).
-
- When you run VGAFONT:
-
- o The 256 character set is displayed on the screen.
-
- o A font edit box (containing an enlarged version of the character
- that the cursor arrow is under) is at the top left of the screen.
-
- o Instructions are at the bottom of the screen.
