- Introduction
- ============
- Do you ever run a program or application that when you exit
- changes your little prompt into a HUGE prompt?? Well that's what
- Restore was designed to do, to put that HUGE prompt back to a
- regular sized normal A:\>, B:\>, C:\>, D:\>, etc, and to change the
- size of text back to the normal 80 screen width....Not only that but
- when those menace programs change the screen width they sometimes
- take the little underline cursor with it! That to me got very
- frustrating.....So I come up with a simple small and fast program to
- take care of that somewhat small problem.
-
- Installation
- ============
- Installation of Restore could not be any easier, all you have to do
- is copy the RESTOR.EXE file and your DOS MODE.COM file to a
- directory on your hard disk or to a floppy disk.....Note that Restore
- does require MODE.COM in the same directory it is run from, Restore
- uses MODE.COM to input data between the monitor and the console
- (keyboard) by doing this it can almost always restore a screen to
- it's normal attributes. Once installed all you have to do is type
- RESTOR and the program will load into memory and restore your screen
- back to it's normal size.
-
- IMPORTANT! Restore does not operate using the DOS path statement. You
- must change to the directory Restore and MODE.COM reside to run the
- program.
-
- Please if you find this program useful share it with others!
