  4. This is the Debian-packaged version of the Internet Software Consortium
  5. (ISC) DHCP package.
  6.  
  7. The sources of the ISC DHCP package produce the following Debian packages:

  9. isc-dhcp-common: Files used by all of the ISC DHCP packages
  10. isc-dhcp-server: The DHCP server itself
  11. isc-dhcp-server-dbg: Debugging symbols for the DHCP server
  12. isc-dhcp-dev: API for accessing and modifying the DHCP server and client state
  13. isc-dhcp-client: The DHCP client itself
  14. isc-dhcp-client-dbg: Debugging symbols for the DHCP client
  15. isc-dhcp-client-udeb: A stripped down DHCP client package for debian-installer
  16. isc-dhcp-relay: The DHCP relay
  17. isc-dhcp-relay-dbg: Debugging symbols for the DHCP relay
  18. dhcp3-server: Dummy package for transitioning from v3 packages
  19. dhcp3-client: Dummy package for transitioning from v3 packages
  20. dhcp3-relay: Dummy package for transitioning from v3 packages
  21. dhcp3-common: Dummy package for transitioning from v3 packages
  22. dhcp3-dev: Dummy package for transitioning from v3 packages

  24. PLEASE NOTE: Upon upgrading isc-dhcp-client, dhclient is NOT restarted.
  25. Therefore, after upgrading, the version of dhclient running will still be from
  26. the previous version of isc-dhcp-client that was installed.
