  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. IBM InfoROM for OS/2 Installation Facility ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  4. The IBM InfoROM for OS/2 Installation Facility is an application which 
  5. simplifies the installation of various options which are on the InfoROM. 
  6.  
  7. There are two options available: 
  8.  
  9. o Create/Make OS/2 device driver diskettes, which can be used on an OS/2 system 
  10.   to update/upgrade an existing device driver, or to install a new device 
  11.   driver for devices such as: CD-ROM, PCMCIA, video, SCSI, etc... 
  12.  
  13. o Install Device Driver Testing Tools, Test Utilities, and Testcases from the 
  14.   CD-ROM to a local hard disk.

  17. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 2. File Pulldown ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  19. Use the File pulldown option, and select the Install option to select an option 
  20. to install from the InfoROM.

  25. Use the Install option to begin the installing options from the InfoROM.

  30. Use the Exit option to exit from the InfoROM Installation Utility.

  35. Select which type of installation is desired.

  40. Select the type of installation desired. There are two options:

  42. o Make Driver Diskettes - used to create OS/2 device driver diskettes.

  44. o Install from InfoROM to Hard Disk - used to install Device Driver Test Cases, 
  45.   Test Tools, and Test Utilities from the InfoROM to the local hard disk.

  50. The Continue pushbutton is used to continue with the installation, based on 
  51. which type of installation is desired.

  56. The Cancel pushbutton is used to cancel the installation, and return to the 
  57. previous window.

  62. The Help button is used to get help. This is the help for help.

  67. Enter panel text for Control "Type_DLG_Text_1".

  72. Select this option to install from InfoROM to Hard Disk. This option will 
  73. install Device Driver Test Cases, Test Tools, and Test Utilities from the 
  74. InfoROM to the local hard disk.
