  64. This package contains the Quick Info program by CONTACT PLUS CORPORATION.
  65. This document contains only a brief description along with instructions
  66. for its installation.

  68. Quick info gives you the following information:

  70. (1) The latest US area codes (including future area codes not yet
  71. implemented) for all 50 states and territories.  This includes a
  72. description of the general location of the area code and the timezone of
  73. the area code.

  75. (2) A list of approximately 1500 international cities and countries with
  76. their local time, country dialing code and city dialing codes.
  77.  
  78. (3) A list of internet suffixes.

  80. Quick Info is freeware and free for distribution as long as the original
  81. program is unaltered.  The latest version is available at
  82. http://www.contactplus.com.

  102. ===== Installation =====================================

  104. The installation procedure for Quick Info is quite simple.
  105.  
  106. The package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which automates the entire
  107. process.  You will need about 0.5 megabytes of available disk space on
  108. the hard drive on which you plan to install Quick Info.
  109.  
  110. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  111.  
  112. If you downloaded Quick Info from the internet (or received it in
  113. the form of archive files from some other source), you will need to
  114. perform the following steps.
  115.  
  116.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  117.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  118.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  119.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  120.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  121.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  122.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  123.       the package.
  124.  
  125.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  126.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
  127.       the <product> package is C:\TEMPDIR, you would execute the
  128.       command, "c:\tempdir\SETUP".
  129.  
  130.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  131.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  132.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  133.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  134.       the product files to that directory.  If you so direct it, the
  135.       installation program will install executable programs and
  136.       documentation in other directories of your choice.

  138. When you're satisfied that the installation was successful, you should
  139. delete the temporary directory FROM which you installed the product
  140. (C:\TEMPDIR, in the above discussion), including all its contents.

  143. UNINSTALLATION
  144.  
  145. To uninstall, go to Control Panel and select Add/Remove Programs.  You
  146. will see Quick Info as one of the choices.  Click on the remove button.
