  6. California Beach Girls Screen Saver
  7. ===================================

  9. California Beach Girls Screen Saver has a multitude of 
  10. screen saver programs - all full screen/full color using the 
  11. California Beach Girls image library and with 3D graphical 
  12. effects. The programs can be set to varying speeds/effects 
  13. with simple slider controls. A detailed analog clock is also 
  14. available for all programs and can be optionally set on/off. 
  15. Each image has accompanying text - flashed up at the start 
  16. of each screen saver routine - which can be optionally set 
  17. on/off.

  20. To Install

  23. If not installed already -

  25.  1. "run a:\setup.exe" if on disk or else simply "run *.exe"
  26.     if a single file (from download) 
  27.  2. ...just follow the on-line directions

  31. To Run California Beach Girls screen saver

  34. Once installed you can select the California Beach Girls 
  35. screen saver for your system. 
  36.  
  37.     1. Select "Settings" from the main "Start" selection 
  38.        (bottom left of the screen), then select "Control 
  39.        Panel" and then select "Display" (double click) 
  40.        from "Control Panel" group.

  42.     2. Select "Screen Saver" page

  44.     3. Select the "California Beach Girls " screen saver 
  45.        in the listbox (left side)
  46.  
  47.     4. Click the "Settings" button to configure to your 
  48.        own taste. Please allow a small delay the first time 
  49.        the screen saver runs/tests as the screen saver needs 
  50.        to sort out the image files.

  52.         - Clock on/off (button control)
  53.         - Text on/off (button control)
  54.         - Speed of movement (slider control)
  55.         - Size (slider control)

  59.         - choose which screen saver effect you want

  62.     5. Click the "Preview" button to view the screen saver 
  63.        with your settings.

  66. The screen saver will now run after however many minutes of 
  67. keyboard/mouse inactivity have been set in the "Wait" panel 
  68. (screen saver section).

  74. Want to see the other 42 images ? All you need to make this 
  75. software fully operational again is a simple "registration" 
  76. number to act as a key to your unique license number - no need 
  77. to download more MB of software or pay for postage/handling.

  89. The California Beach Girls Screen Saver  program allows you 
  90. a free trial period - enabling you to make a full evaluation 
  91. of the software - with the only proviso being that you can 
  92. only see 10 of the 52 images you have downloaded (the other 
  93. 42 images are already there waiting for you - you just need the 
  94. "registration" number to see them). After this trial period 
  95. the screen saver will no longer run in full operation mode - 
  96. showing only one image at a time before returning to the 
  97. original screen - rather than cycling through the image 
  98. collection.

  101. What is the License Number ? (and why you need it)

  104. Your "license" number is unique and can be easily found at 
  105. the top-left of the California Beach Girls screen saver 
  106. "Settings" box or the "Register Details" box or the "About" box  
  107. - and starts with "X..." eg  "X****-****/**-**/***"). Your 
  108. "license" number requires a similarly unique "registration" 
  109. number which will be sent to you. When you receive the 
  110. "registration" number simply press the button marked "Register" 
  111. - and follow the instructions. Once registered the Software 
  112. will run indefinitely - in full operation mode - and allow you 
  113. to see all the 52 images that you have already downloaded.

  116. How exactly to find and read the "license" number

  119. To read the "license" number:-

  121.     1. Select "Settings" from the main "Start" selection 
  122.        (bottom left of the screen), then select "Control 
  123.        Panel" and then select "Display" (double click) 
  124.        from "Control Panel" group.

  126.     2. Select "Screen Saver" tab/page.

  128.     3. Select the "California Beach Girls" screen saver in 
  129.        the listbox (left side) - if  you haven't already 
  130.        done this.

  132.     4. Click the "Settings" button and read the license
  133.        at the top left of the "Settings" box

  136. How exactly to enter your "registration" number
  137. ===============================================

  139. To enter your "registration" number (received on payment) 
  140. follow the same steps 1 to 3 above and then
  141.  
  142.     4. Click the "Settings" button .
  143.     5. Click the "Register" button (How to register...)
  144.         on the left of the "Settings" box.
  145.     6. Click the "Register" button on the right of the 
  146.         "Register Details" box.
  147.     7. Enter your "registration" number, name and
  148.         company (optional).
  149.     8. Click OK

  151. Your software will then be registered and will run in full
  152. operational mode indefinitely - allowing you to see all the
  153. images.

  168. With a Windows 95 Front Shell (this includes NT4.0) use the 
  169. Add/Remove Programs facility
  170.  
  171.     1. Select "Settings" from the main "Start" selection 
  172.        (bottom left of the screen), then select "Control 
  173.        Panel" and then select "Add/Remove Programs" 
  174.        (double click) from "Control Panel" group.

  176.     2. On the first tab/page - "Install/Uninstall" select
  177.        "California Beach Girls" from the list and click 
  178.        the "Add/Remove" button.
