  13.         !!! IMPORTANT INSTALLATION NOTES, PLEASE READ !!!

  16. IF YOU ENCOUNTER ANY PROBLEM DURING OR AFTER THE INSTALLATION,
  17. PLEASE NOTIFY MIJENIX. WE WILL TRY TO IDENTIFY AND CORRECT THE
  18. PROBLEM. Mijenix's address can be found at the end of this file.

  20. -> If you have problems displaying files correctly with 
  21.    WizManager's file viewer (all the text files are displayed in 
  22.    in HEX format for example) then you probably have an older 
  23.    version of MHVIEW.VBX in your WINDOWS or SYSTEM directory. 
  24.    WizManager provides the latest version of MHVIEW and you can  
  25.    replace the older version of MHVIEW.VBX in your WINDOWS or 
  26.    SYSTEM directory with the MHVIEW.VBX file found in the   
  27.    WizManager directory (C:\WIZMGR\MHVIEW.VBX by default).

  29.    Older versions of MHVIEW.VBX are used and installed by 
  30.    MicroHelp's Uninstaller program for example.
  31.  
  32. -> If you encounter General Protection Fault (GPF) error
  33.    messages while running WizManager or screen refreshing 
  34.    problems after deleting a directory, start the Windows Setup
  35.    program and change the video driver of your system to a
  36.    standard Windows video driver (says "VGA" in the video
  37.    drivers list) and determine whether General Protection 
  38.    Fault messages still appear. If they don't, update the video 
  39.    drivers you were using to the latest available version.
  40.  
  41. -> You can avoid the screen refreshing problems generated by a 
  42.    few video drivers when deleting a directory by selecting the 
  43.    directory to delete in the directory window (right side of 
  44.    File Manager) and not in the directory tree (left side of 
  45.    File Manager).

  47. -> DO NOT DECLARE MORE THAN 4 EXTENSIONS IN THE WINFILE.INI
  48.    [AddOns] section (5 extensions if you are running Windows 
  49.    for Workgroups 3.11):
  50.  
  51.    File Manager limits you to 4 extensions and it is up to you 
  52.    to "keep up" and maintain the [AddOns] section of WINFILE.INI. 
  53.    If you have more than 4 declarations under [AddOns], simply 
  54.    type a ';' (without the quotes) at the beginning of the 
  55.    line(s) you want File Manager to ignore. This lets you keep 
  56.    all the declarations in case you decide later to alter your 
  57.    choices and start only the ones you need.
  58.  
  59.    During the installation of WizManager, the [AddOns] section 
  60.    of WINFILE.INI is updated to include the WizManager library 
  61.    path. This declaration is appended at the end of the [AddOns]
  62.    section. If more than 3 other declarations exist above
  63.    WizManager's line, proceed as explained above to cancel out 
  64.    one or more declarations (use Notepad.exe for example to edit
  65.    WINFILE.INI, and modify the [AddOns] entries only).

  67. -> Lantastic File Manager extension makes File Manager load    
  68.    WizManager twice and disables WizManager's functionality. To 
  69.    correct this, remove the Lantastic File Manager extension 
  70.    declaration from the [AddOns] section in WINFILE.INI and if 
  71.    you use the features provided by the Lantastic menu in File
  72.    Manager, then create buttons in the WizManager Launchbar to 
  73.    start these Lantastic utilities.

  103. Windows NT and Windows95 (Chicago). This product will be 
  104. available with several other new and exciting Windows95 products 
  105. from Mijenix when Windows95 starts shipping (first half of '95).

  107. The WizManager version you have installed is a set of 16-bit 
  108. DLLs written for Windows 3.10 and 3.11 and Windows for 
  109. Workgroups 3.10 and 3.11; These DLLs are not specifically 
  110. designed for Windows NT or Windows95 (Chicago) and may not work 
  111. properly with these 32-bit versions of Windows.
