WHAT IS FINDNEWS?
Eventually, Microsoft Internet News will have a find feature.
With Plannet Crafters FindNews, you don't have to wait! This
small utility offers easy and powerful searching of your news
headers, which makes it much easier to locate the news articles
you want to read.
FindNews works with Internet News for Win95 & WinNT.
Using FindNews couldn't be easier. Simply install it and then
use the FindNews menu item in Internet News.
SUPPORT ISSUES
We stand behind FindNews and want to ensure that you enjoy it.
If you have any questions about FindNews that aren't answered
here, please send us an e-mail at findnews@plannetarium.com.
Also, be sure to check out our web page at www.plannetarium.com
INSTALLATION NOTES
To setup FindNews, simply run FN100.EXE. If you received FindNews
in a ZIP file, unzip to a directory of your choice and then run
SETUP.EXE.
FindNews will set itself up so that it is automatically invoked
whenver you run Internet News.
USAGE TIPS
To access FindNews, simply select "FindNews" from the menubar in
Internet News. You can also press Alt+I to access it.
Simply enter the text you wish to search for and press enter or
click on "Find Next". You can continue to find entries, until you
reach the bottom of the list. If you are searching in the down
direction, FindNews will offer to continue searching from the
top of the list
The current version of FindNews cannot search within closed
threads. Since threads usually have the same title, this
doesn't tend to be a problem. However, if you wish to
maximize your searches, setup Internet News to expand all
threads.
HOW TO UNINSTALL FINDNEWS
If you wish to uninstall FindNews, simply select "Uninstall" from
the FindNews about box. After restarting Windows, you may wish to
remove the files and folders created during installation (usually
located in C:\Program Files\Plannet Crafters\FindNews)
CHANGE HISTORY
1.00 - Initial Release.
1.01 - Registration didn't "stick" under Windows NT
- Made some minor mods to the uninstall routine
