  1. How to transfer a single player character to a multiplayer character
  2. using the Diablo Trainer Beta 3_4 (Thanks Enigma!).

  4. -Load Diablo
  5. -Start a single player game with the character you want to transfer
  6. -After the game loads press ALT-TAB to switch back to windows
  7. -Load the Diablo Trainer
  8. -Press Save to save the character to a file
  9. -Go Back to the Diablo game (It will be on the taskbar)
  10. -Press Esc to get the menu and select New Game
  11. -Select cancel to get back to the main menu
  12. -Select Multiplayer
  13. -Create a New Hero 
  14. -Select the same class and name of the single player character
  15. -Start a Local area network (ipx) game *
  16. -Create the game
  17. -Once the game loads press ALT-TAB to switch back to windows
  18. -In the Diablo Trainer press restore
  19. -Type in the name of the file that you saved the single player to
  20. -Hit Ok and answer the prompts that come up
  21. -After the file is retored switch back to Diablo
  22. !!!Follow this EXACTLY!!!!
  23. -Press ESC and select New Game (This will save the character)
  24.   If you try to move the character Diablo will crash, usually 
  25.   without saving the new character.

  27. Some of the items and inventory may seem a little messed up,
  28. but you can move them around and put them where they should go.
  29. I didn't notice anything that was permantly corupted or anything
  30. like that.

  33. * If you can't start an IPX network game, back in Windows you
  34.   have to install the IPX network drivers.  Do this in 'control panel',
  35.   'Network', and click on 'Add'.  The IPX/SPX driver is in the 'Microsoft'
  36.   group.
