n8= techo This is a brief tutorial to introduce you to LinkBot. I will go through the process of setting up a raw clone and creating a link. For this tutorial, please use the popups menus found in this menu. Now, use the popup here and select, "Spawn a Link Clone". Try the server "linux.mit.edu", use any name, and channel "testing". Do this now. If this server does not work, please try a different one.
n9= techo $aquabold(%ebar)
n10= write -c tmppop.txt Spawn a Link Clone:/f1
n11= halt
n12= :2
n13= set %command /join
n14= techo Excellent, we now have a raw clone, but no Link. Now, join a channel.
n15= techo $aquabold(%ebar)
n16= unset %command
n17= halt
n18= :3
n19= techo Very good. Now, go into the LinkBot window, and type some text. Notice it will appear in bot that window, and in the channel you started. Now let us launch a Spy Clone. Use the popup in this menu. Use the same server you used, but pick a different test channel.
n20= techo $aquabold(%ebar)
n21= write -c tmppop.txt Spawn a Spy Clone:/sf1
n22= halt
n23= :4
n24= techo Excellent. Try typing into all your windows. You will notice that the Spy Clone will only send text from the Spy Clone, but text you send from the Spy Clone will be sent everywhere. Thus is is safe to use Spy Clones to have normal conversations, not only spying. At this point, you should start experimenting with channel controls found in the pop-ups of both clones. I hope this mini-tutorial has been useful to you. To access it at any time type /tutorial.
