  2. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. Send Appends to Host ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
  3.  
  4. This menu selection displays the ForaUp dialog to assist you in uploading and 
  5. posting your append files to the IBM host system.  Before you can upload and 
  6. post appends, you must be logged-on to the IBM host system. 
  7.  
  8. ForaUp - Send Append Dialog 
  9.  
  10. This dialog contains the following fields and controls; 
  11.  
  12. Choose 3270 Session 
  13.  
  14. Each active 3270 emulator window contains a short name, A thru Z. ForBrows 
  15. provides up to six radio buttons, to allow you to specify which 3270 window is 
  16. to be the target of the append upload.  You should click on the button for the 
  17. session that is connected to the IBM conferencing system.

  19. If there are no 3270 sessions active, all radio buttons will be disabled, as 
  20. well as the "Send" button. 
  21.  
  22. List File Spec(s) 
  23.  
  24. This entry field will be pre-filled with drive and pathname you gave for 
  25. appends in ForBrows's Set Installation Defaults dialog. If you wish to list 
  26. files in other subdirectories, you may specify other drive and path information 
  27. in this field.

  29. Select Append Files for Processing 
  30.  
  31. This listbox contains the names of files.  You may select files by clicking 
  32. mouse button 2 over a list entry.  After an entry is selected, you may process 
  33. the file by clicking on the View, Send, or Discard buttons.

  37. Lists the files specified in the FileSpec(s) entry field.

  41. View (browse) the selected file. 
  42.  
  43. Send Button

  45. Upload the selected file to the IBM host, and append it to the appropriate 
  46. forum on the IBM master conferencing disk. The append is sent to the 3270 
  47. session specified via the "Choose 3270 Session" radio button. 
  48.  
  49. After append is sent, it is copied to a \POSTED subdirectory. The \POSTED 
  50. subdirectory will be a child of your append subdirectory. 
  51.  
  52. This button will be disabled if you do not have a 3270 window connected to an 
  53. IBM host. 
  54.  
  55. Technical Note This function uses EHLLAPI calls to drive the targeted 3270 
  56. session, and requires ACS3EHAP.DLL in the LIBPATH, if you are using the OS/2 
  57. Communications Manager.  If you are using PMHPO, you will need TAPHLL32.DLL.

  59. Erase Button 
  60.  
  61. Erase the selected file(s).  You will be asked to verify the erasure.

  63. Cancel Button

  65. Exit the ForaUp dialog.  If you press Cancel during an upload, ForaUp will 
  66. terminate its processing of the upload; however it has no way to tell either 
  67. the OS/2 Communications Manager or PMHPO to terminate the SEND (upload).
