  4. The "Image Toolkit Format Librarian" allows you to install, remove, or query 
  5. the contents of an Image Toolkit format library.  Displayed on this window is a 
  6. list of the libraries that are currently installed.  Below the list is a set of 
  7. actions that can be performed. 
  8.  
  9. You can either enter a library name or select one from the list.  After doing 
  10. so, you can select from any of the following actions to be performed: 
  11.  
  12.  o Install 
  13.  o Uninstall 
  14.  o Formats... 
  15.  
  16.  Additionally, selecting "Cancel" will return you to the OS/2 desktop, while 
  17.  selecting "Help" will display this window.

  22. Shown is a list of the formats supported by the library whose name appears in 
  23. the upper part of this window.  Below the list is a set of actions that can be

  30.  Additionally, selecting "Cancel" will return you to the main window, while 
  31.  selecting "Help" will display this window.

  37. fields and a brief explanation of each is below:

  39.  Name                the name of the format 
  40.  Description         a brief description of the format 
  41.  Author              the author of the format handler 
  42.  Extension           the default file extension for the format 
  43.  Version             the version of the format handler 
  44.  Attributes          a list of characteristics of the format and the format 
  45.                      handler

  50. Shown is a list of the format libraries that are currently installed.  You may 
  51. select one from the list and then an action from the bottom of the window.

  56. Enter the name of the Image Toolkit format library to be acted upon in this 
  57. entryfield.  Afterwards, select "Install" to install the library or 
  58. "Formats..." to view the library's contents.

  63. Installing a format library involves entering the name of the library to 
  64. install and selecting this button.  Once selected, the librarian will inform 
  65. both the Image Toolkit and the library of your selection so that they may 
  66. perform any necessary housekeeping.

  68. A message is displayed after the installation attempt indicating its success or 
  69. failure.

  71. Any Image Toolkit enabled applications that are started after installing the 
  72. format library will receive the formats supported by the installed library. 
  73. However, applications currently running must be stopped and restarted to take 
  74. advantage of the added function.

  79. Uninstalling a format library involves selecting the library from the displayed 
  80. list of libraries currently installed and selecting this button. Once selected, 
  81. the librarian will inform both the Image Toolkit and the library of your 
  82. selection so that they may perform any necessary housekeeping.
