GIK/2 is a program for developing intelligent graphics interfaces for OS/2 applications and tools.
In an intelligent graphics interface, symbols on the screen are linked to application data. By direct manipulation of the symbols, an end user can add, delete, or change the underlying data.
The GIK/2 approach has two main benefits. First, you can design a friendly user interface for a complex application. Second, no graphics programming is required to define and manipulate the symbols.
GIK/2 results in improved productivity of end users because of the intuitive and graphical way of data presentation, and of application developers because these graphical interfaces can be created with much less coding than previously required.
