  2. Welcome to the first OS2TOOLS version of

  4.                EPM/G
  5.  
  6. The key difference between EPM/G  and other versions of
  7. EPM is that it supports GPI Fonts.
  8.  
  9. You can now Save, Restore, and Print  files with
  10. multiple fonts and colors.
  11.  
  12. And yes, there's more!
  13.  
  14. EPM/G now supports stream style editing as well as
  15. line oriented editting.
  16.  
  17. EPM/G supports bookmarkers that can be saved in a
  18. file for future reference.

  21. User notes:
  22.  This release adds a new highlight method.  Search will circle the
  23.     found string.  Proof uses a slightly different style of circle.
  24.  Where in EPM 5.20, entering Start EPM would just create
  25.     the EPM icon, in 5.5x this opens a .Untitled edit window.
  26.     Use the /I option to create the icon.  It has no system menu.
  27.     Double-click to bring up the Open dialog.  Use the Task Manager
  28.     or press F3 if you want to close the icon.
  29.  This release has support for ATM fonts.
  30.  To apply a font and or color to a marked area of text use
  31.     the "Style" option under the "Edit" menu item, or press Ctrl+Y.
  32.  WYSIWYG printing of files with many fonts can be quite slow.
  33.  Style information and permanent bookmarks are saved as
  34.     extended attributes when the file is saved to disk.  Please see the
  35.     note in the Bookmark help panel about editing the file with
  36.     other editors.
  37.  Using mixed fonts, and in particular italic fonts,
  38.     can result in slow  screen updates.
