An animation sequence can consist of one sprite or a small image moving across the screen, such as the girl with the red umbrella. Or it can consist of a set of sprites, each showing a slightly different position, such as the birds flying across the sky. You can designate different paths for this animation and also vary the speed at which the animation occurs.
