  7.     REDGUY.BAT   - Backs up your original player sprites, and installs
  8.                     the REDGUY.
  9.     OLDGUY.BAT   - Restores your original player sprites.
  10.     README.TXT   - Your lookin' at it.
  11.     PLAYxxxx.GIF - Red player graphics.

  15.     Ok, I really made this for personal use, so the Batch files are quick
  16.     and dirty.  Be sure to check your path.  If it's not C:\DOOM then 
  17.     you'll have to load your favorite text editor and do a FIND/REPLACE
  18.     to insert the correct path.

  20.     Also, this is for DOOM 1.666, I know nothing of DOOM II.  May work,
  21.     may not.  Never tried it.  Probably never will.  Have a nice day!

  23. Installation:

  25.     Make sure you have DOOM :)
  26.  
  27.     Make sure you have DMGRAPH.  Can be found at your nearest DOOM FTP
  28.     Mirror site or at infant2.sphs.indiana.edu

  30.     REDGUY.ZIP should be unzipped to your DOOM directory.  The batch
  31.     files assume your game directory is C:\DOOM, see note above.

  33.     Back up your DOOM.WAD if your a nervous camper.  Even if your not,
  34.     all responsibility is yours.

  36.     Run REDGUY.BAT

  38.     Thats it, your ready to play.

  42.     Simply run OLDGUY.BAT to restore original player sprites.  However, 
  43.     I have not done this yet.  Should work fine.

  47.     Use at your own risk.  Make sure you have backups.  I assume no
  48.     responsibility for ANY mishaps, errors, muck-ups, or acts of GOD!

  53.     In fairness and moral goodness, I should note that the cross on the 
  54.     players back is not mine.  I would like to give proper credit to
  55.     the person who added it but I no longer have this vital morsel of
  56.     information.

  60.     Many people have expressed interest in having this patch in PWAD form
  61.     instead of having to install the GIFs in the DOOM.WAD.  Well, I'd like
  62.     that as well.  I have tried it in PWAD form but every time my opponents
  63.     Marine is completely invisible and within a few minutes, the game
  64.     crashes violently.  I'm not very fimiliar with graphics in PWADS 
  65.     so if some kind PWAD guru can get it working, I'd appreciate a copy!
