This installation guide will guide you through the Tele2Internet setup procedure and explain the different options available.
The supplementary CD will install all necessary settings and setup your computer to work with a dial-up connection to the Internet.
What you will need before starting the installation
* The Tele2Internet CD.
* A modem connected to your computer and a phone line (if you use a modem to connect to the Internet).
The complete installation consists of 2 steps
Step 1 Preparation and starting the CD.
Step 2 Installation and configuration of your system.
Step 1 – Preparation and Starting the CD
Start your computer and insert the CD
1. Start your computer. If you already have your computer started, please close all open applications.
2. Open your CD drive and insert the Tele2Internet CD.
3. Close the CD drive and double-click the CD icon on the desktop.
4. In the window that appears on the screen, locate the icon Tele2Internet and double-click it to start the installation.
5. Wait for the Tele2Internet window to appear on the screen.

The Main Window
The figure below, shows the main Tele2Internet setup window. There are two main sections: Along the top you choose the language in which the install program will run. Along the bottom are the available installation options.
Before proceeding with the installation we will describe the different menu options.

Installation
Select this option to continue the Tele2Internet installation process.
Installation guide
Select this option for detailed help in the installation process. A word processor will start on your computer and display the installation guide which contains the same information as this manual. You can read this online, or print it out.
Exit
Select this to exit the installation program. You will be returned to the Macintosh desktop.
Starting the Installation
1. Choose the language in which you want to read the instructions during the installation by pointing and clicking on one of the flags in the upper right corner of the screen
2. Point and click Installation in the lower left corner to continue.

This is where you select the manner in which you will connect to the Internet.

You have a few different options in this dialog box.
Dial-up connection
This is the most common method. Choose this if you are using a modem and a regular phone line to connect to the Internet. Also choose this dial-up connection method if you have an ISDN adapter.
Network connection
Choose Network connection if you are connected to a network through a network adapter.
Software only
Choose Software only if you only want to install MS Internet Explorer.
Make your choices
1. Point and click the check-box to select the option you find suitable.
2. When you have selected your option, point and click the
Install button in the lower right-hand corner to go to the
next stage of the installation.
Step 2 – Installation and configuration of your system
This section will install the Tele2Internet applications on your computer and make sure your Internet connection is properly configured. It will take you through the following steps:
* Installation of the required applications.
* Configuration of the necessary network settings.
* If you selected a Modem connection your modem will be configured.
The Installation program will determine if your computer has already been setup for an Internet connection. If this is the case, the installation program might skip some or all of the steps above. Internet software is already installed in Mac OS 8.5 and later versions, which is the alternative shown below.
1. When you have clicked the Install button, you will follow a guide
that will guide you through the installation.
2. Choose the correct modem type/script.
3. Click Proceed to start the configuration of the Dial-Up Networking, TCP/IP. Then the installation of Internet Explorer will start automatically.
If your modem does not respond when you try to connect to the Internet, contact your modem provider.
