  6.     Protect! EXE/COM allows you to encrypt EXE and COM files and leave
  7. them executable. Most importantly, it TAKES A CRC EVERY TIME A PROTECTED
  8. PROGRAM IS RUN and now in version 2.0 will check the integrity of the CRC
  9. detection unit. No other program allows a CRC to be taken every time,
  10. including PKLite (R) professional and LZEXE. To protect EXE files, you
  11. need to have an EXE file compressor such as LZEXE (Free), PKLite (R) or
  12. Compack (R) to work hand-in-hand with Protect! EXE/COM.

  14.     Please read the documentation along with the disclaimer and license
  15. that are in the documentation. The documentation is only 7 pages, but 
  16. please read through it reasonable well before attempting to use Protect! 
  17. EXE/COM. Any file that you protect will have an ".OLD" backup file made 
  18. and you should make sure that the protected file runs before you do anything 
  19. with the original, because it cannot be retrieved.

  21.     The order form is ORDER.FRM and the cost is $25 for what could 
  22. easily save your programs from being "hacked" if you are a programmer
  23. because of the scrambling and the CRC taking. Please remember that you
  24. may not distribute any files that you have protected until you register
  25. for $25. If you are a Compuserve member, I am planning on including this
  26. program in the SWReg (R) automated shareware registration database if
  27. that is more convenient for you. Registrants get support via mail, 
  28. Compuserve, limited BBS support, the ability to distribute protected
  29. files, update notices, one free update, and more.

  31.     If you have any copies of earlier versions of Protect! EXE/COM,
  32. please replace them with this version (2.0) as this version will allow
  33. MUCH more security for your EXE and COM files.
