  8. What you get with `AmiWeb2c-2.lha' is a stripped excerpt of the complete
  9. `UNIX-TeX' system, ported to the Amiga.  Due to its total size of more
  10. than 30 megabytes of installed material, I decided to exclude everything
  11. that is publicly available either on the AmiNet or more likely on the
  12. CTAN, so in addition to this archive you will have to fetch several
  13. other packages before you can start for real.
  14.  
  15. So why should you want to get `AmiWeb2c-2.lha' at all?  Because it contains
  16. a native port of the famous `texk' implementation of the TeX system for
  17. UNIX, on which also `teTeX' is based.  Included are
  18.  
  19.    e-TeX 3.14159-1.1
  20.    MetaFont 2.718
  21.    BibTeX 0.99c
  22.    MetaPost 0.632
  23.    DVIPS 5.66a
  24.  
  25. and a lot of auxiliary tools and programs.  The complete UNIX-TeX system
  26. was ported directly from the Web2c 7.0 system, which already provides
  27. full support for the Amiga.  Necessary stuff for implementors is coming
  28. with this distribution.

  30. The elements coming with this archive are automatically installed at the
  31. appropriate places by extracting the contents with the command
  32.  
  33.    $ lha x -a AmiWeb2c-2.lha
  34.  
  35. Slightly more than 9 (metric) megabytes will be extracted to the root
  36. directory `AmiWeb2c/'.  Everything else has to be added in the directory
  37. structure below this top level.  The bulk of `AmiWeb2c-2.lha' consists of
  38. the binaries for all programs created from the original Web2c sources.
  39.  
  40. Detailed information about what else is needed and about how to install
  41. "AmiWeb2c 2.0" is given in "AmiWeb2c/texmf/doc/amiweb2c/README.ami".
