  1. Short:    Create .infofiles for files & vice versa

  7. I made two arexx scripts which will:
  8.  a) Create datafiles for .info files left alone, and
  9.  b) Create .info files for files with no icon...
  10.  
  11. Mainly, i did those two scripts to easily use the superb utility IconUpdate,
  12. which can copy icons using drag'n drop without destroying the tooltypes..
  13.  
  14. Anyway, IconUpdate won't work if there isn't any file/drawer together with the
  15. .info file, and therefore: CData was born! And since IconUpdate won't update
  16. files with no icons, i had to do an utility to create infofiles aswell, and
  17. i named it CInfo.

  19. The usage is the same for both utils:
  20. Usage: CData/CInfo [drawer] [-r]
  21.  
  22.  The -r switch stands for Recursive..
  23.

  25. Plans for the future:
  26. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  27. o Pattern matching and single file operation (currently it operates on all
  28.   files, but it doesn't overwrite existing files)
  29.  
  30. o Some use of some file-id library or something to be able to use create
  31.   icons for all types of files.. Currently only files and drawers are
  32.   supported. Ideas are welcome...
