  8. Httpproxy is a proxy that caches incomming data for http requests. This can
  9. speed up loading of a page enormously, once you visited it.
  10. If you don't know what a proxy is, read the 'Beginners Guide' section of the
  11. provided guide file.

  13. There are some ARexx-scripts around that provide the same functionality, but
  14. these alter the documents and don't provide additional features httpproxy has.
  15.  
  16. It is possible to configure httpproxy in a way that you are able to browse
  17. in offline mode, too (assuming you are connected to the internet by modem),
  18. at least through the pages you already visited.
  19. Then you are able to queue requests and let httpproxy send them automatically
  20. next time when you are online.

  22. Httpproxy is Emailware - be sure to read the License section of the provided
  23. guide file.

  25. It is still beta, but as it seems to run stable and I couldn't find another bug
  26. for a couple of days I decided to make this beta version public.
