- Use the MIDI File Format Converter to convert MIDI files from type 1 format to
- type 0 format.

- 1. Identify the location of the source file you want to convert:
-
- o If your source file is in the current directory, select its name from the
- Files list. The name of the currently selected file in the Files list is
- displayed in the Source file name field.

- o If your source file is in the parent directory or a subdirectory of the
- current directory, change to the directory you want by selecting a name
- from the Directories list. The list in the Files box is updated with the
- names of the files in the new directory. Select your source file name from
- the Files list.

- o If your source file is located on another drive, you can select the
- appropriate drive name from the Drive field. The lists in the Directories
- and Files boxes are updated with information specific to the new drive.

- o If your source file is located on another branch in the directory
- structure, or another drive, and you know its location, you can type its
- complete path name in the Source file name field.

- 2. Select the Convert push button to convert the type 1 file named in the
- Source file name entry field to a type 0 file, named by the Target file
- name entry field.

- Select the Cancel push button to end the application.

- Select the Help push button to view this help panel.
