I've tried copying the ToDoList data file into the project folder, and associating with it the PMDTODO program. This works reasonably well; but when PMDTODO saves the todolist, it adds a file extension "¢T¢", so I get two data objects instead of one. Is there any way to prevent PMDTODO from creating its own file names? Alternatively, is there another way to get multiple ToDoLists? Open Settings for the To-Do List program in the Productivity folder and add *.$T$ to the names in the Associations. You can now open any To-Do List file by double-clicking on the data file object. I also copied the ICON from the To-Do List program to the To-Do list data files and changed the Titles for the files to remove the .$T$. Only the Physical Name seems to require the $T$ extension. The same approach can be used if you want multiple Calendars (associate Calendar program with name *.$D$). The APAR number is PJ03647. Problems include incorrect display format in digital mode. Unable to change font size of clock character, unable to move or setup clock when displayed with "No title Bar" set on. As for the Daily Planner and other applets: 1. If you bring a shadow of them into the Startup Folder, the next time you start the system, all applets will start with their folders open. 2. If you leave the applets active but minimized , after shut down, again on start up they will all appear with the applation folders open. The problem with most of the applets is that one can not start them minimized. If you look at program such as SideKick for OS/2 you will notice that they can be started either hiden or minimized. When a dozen applets all open up on the desktop it can create a very messy screen (Looks like MS-Windows) For some reason the programmer of these applets did not allow the programs to be started minimized As for Sticky pad, I have not yet reported the problem. If you leave sticky pad active when you shut down, the next time you start you will find one yellow dot in the lower left hand corner. You will be unable to click on the dot to open sticky pad. If you try to select it from the Window list, you will also fail to bring up sticky pad. Even if you close it and start it back up the problems will return the next time you start sticky pad. The only way to correct the problem is to select sticky pad from the Window list, then press the right mouse button and pick either cascade or tile. The result is a shrunken image of the bitmap that can be used as an icon. This is done via the PASTE function under EDIT of the editor. I've used this function to place more meaningful icons on the image library entries I have. The editor takes the large image and renders it down to the point where it is icon sized. Obviously, a lot of detail is sacrificed to do that. Simple images scale down more cleanly than "denser" patterns. Sometimes I clip only a portion of the image for use as the icon. This doesn't answer your question of how to generate BMP's from the clipboard. I have yet to find a way to do that with the mini-apps that came with OS/2. I have generated BMP files from other images using IBM internal and shareware applications (at work and home, respectively) I tested out WinGif under OS/2 to see how the seamless windows worked. While I didn't exercise the entire WinGif function set, everything seemed to be working well. I was able to convert many image types(GIF, TIF, PCX) into BMP. These BMP files, although targeted for M$ Windows, worked just fine on my VGA display under OS/2. It's especially fun to send some of them through the puzzle mini-app under games. In case you didn't know, WinGif is a shareware product designed to run under M$ Windows. It performed well in a seamless OS/2 Window. BeMeUp Scott E. If it is minimized when you shut down, it should come up minimized, but mine always comes up "restored" and I have to click on the "minimize" button each morning. 2) Yes, Alarms has to be running to get any alarms. If you try to close it, it will tell you this. 3) The daily planner does not need to be running to trigger alarms, but it *might* have to have been opened in order to populate the alarm list. I'm not sure -- you will have to experiment. 4) Putting the name of your file (without the file extention) into the parameters field is supposed to "just work". Make sure that the file name and current directory are coordinated between the daily planner and the calendar. 5) I don't know. As I said above, it might be the case that you have to open the calendar or daily planner in order to populate the alarms for the day. I have tried to look at the file format and the only thing I can tell, is that the first row conatins the name of the fields. The subsequent rows are the records. The fields seem to be separated by the ║ symbol. Has anybody else tried to import any data? Edward R. Miller. Customer is using these apps and getting system hangs from time to time; Model 80-111. Right now we're testing to see if not running the apps will cause the system hangs to stop. This customer is also using some data files for CALENDAR that he used and created with PMDiary under OS/2 1.3. Is there any problem with using old data files?
