  1.               C Set/2 Corrective Service Diskettes (CSD)

  3. Description:

  5. The OS/2 Corrective Service Facility is a utility that applies fixes
  6. (service) to the OS/2 Applications.  This CSD may be applied to both
  7. the the C Set/2 that is included on this disk, or to C Set/2 Version
  8. 1.0.
  9.

  11. General Information:
  12.  
  13. Select ADD to create the 2 CSET/2 CSD diskettes.
  14.  
  15. Corrective Service is applied as follows:
  16.  
  17. Insert CSD diskette one (this diskette) in the A:  drive and type
  18. A:\SERVICE from an OS/2 command prompt.  The main window contains a
  19. list of products that are found on the system which are eligible for
  20. service.  Select those products you want to be serviced by
  21. highlighting the appropriate entries in the Products list.  All
  22. eligible products are initially selected.
  23.  
  24. To view the currect level(s) of the products on your system, select
  25. CURRENT from the LEVELS menu.  To view the new level(s) of the products
  26. on the corrective service diskettes, select NEW from the LEVELS menu.
  27.  
  28. The service utility updates files in a set of directories associated
  29. with each selected product.  To view and/or change the set of
  30. directories, choose SELECT DIRECTORIES from the OPTIONS menu.

  32. Once all selections have been made, select SERVICE to start the service
  33. process.
  34.  
  35. You WILL NOT be able to terminate the service process after it is
  36. started.

  38. A service log is provided for installation verification:
  39.            C:\OS2\INSTALL\SERVICE.LOG
  40. Subsequent installs will be appended to the service log.
