SpexDemo Software contains a SAMPLE of the 'Bedroom items' and 'other items' normally supplied with SPEX to create a small Bedroom scene.
The software can be run from the Floppy Disc but Hard Disc operation is preferred.

####### TO ROTATE AN ITEM : CLICK THE ADJUST BUTTON WHILE THE MOUSE
POINTER IS OVER THE ITEM IN THE LIBRARY WINDOW ONLY.
IF YOU WANT TO ROTATE AN ITEM AFTER IT HAS BEEN PUT IN THE PLAN THEN
DRAG IT TO THE DUSTBIN AND THEN USE A NEW ITEM; ROTATED FIRST.#######
1. Double click on the !Spex icon in the Spex directory.
2. When the title page appears, click OK.
3. The main menu appears, click 'Planning', followed by 'continue' on the subsequent planning window.
4. The next window invites you to select an environment to design. On Spex-Demo only the Bedroom environment can be selected. (this window can normally hold up to 50 different environments). Click on Bedroom.
5. Click on OK to select the default measurement or adjust these sizes first.
6. The main menu re-appears. you can select either 'Furnishing', 'Wall Fittings' or View. select Wall Fittings and follow instructions for dragging the doors and waindows on to the room. When you are happy, click on the small 'menu' icon OR close the window to return to the main menu.
7. On the main menu select 'Furnishing' and 'drag' chosen items of furniture onto the room plan. THE ITEMS CAN BE ROTATED FIRST, by clicking adjust over the item before you drag it to the plan view.
8. The finished design can be viewed in 3D in the view window which is selected from the main menu.
9. Save and print do not function on the demo, but all the other features may be used. For example, try zooming in and out using the scale icon. Use the remaining 'view icons' to colour the walls and floor and and also to see the items of furniture in chart and spreadsheet form.
10.You can go back to the to the main menu to enter the plan and walls again for editing your design.
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED DESIGNING THE BEDROOM click on the 'CLICK ME' icon to load up pre-designed environments for viewing. Each subsequent click on the 'NEXT VIEW' icon reveals a new environment view. the views comprise items normally despatched with SPEX and ALSO items from future environment discs.
SpexDemo requires RiscOS 3.1 and a 2mb Archimedes computer to run.
