not wish to buy the full package but want to use any of the demo flags
please do send a realistic donation to the R.N.L.I., especially as the
Shoreham Lifeboat has launched as I write this, thank you, you never know
when you will need them.
This is a SMALL demo file of World Flags which are available from
Arm_Tech (UK) Limited. Watch the magazines for further details or contact
Arm_Tech (UK). This is a pre-release demo so things could well change!
This set of about 285 flags include ALL of the national flags upto today
14-04-95, from Afganistan to French Polynnesia, from Gabon to New Zealand,
and from Oman to Zimbabwe as well as the old flags from countries who have
recently changed their flags, British flags of various states and government
departments, international signal flags etc.
This started out as a very simple PD package in about 1990 then enhanced and
distributed by Arm_Tech (UK) in 1992 following the various world changes
since then I have (hopefully) corrected and brought them up-to-date. I now
expect that there will be more changes! If there are, in about 12 months
time any registered owner can send me a blank disc which I will try return
it with the new versions of the changed flags. As we know there have been
many changes in Eastern Europe, and so many of the flags have changed (many,
almost over-night!) and I've tried to produce the most current.
This subject is in continuous development and, while every effort is made to ensure that the information given is correct, Studio Graphics cannot accept
any liability for any loss or damage resulting from its use. I believe them
to all be reasonably accurate in detail, current status, colour, and
proportion but I have had to rely on the information available!
The full set (nearly 1.8 Mb of Draw files!) is soley available on discs from Arm_Tech (UK) Ltd. 86 Meadowbank, Moor Lane, Holway, HOLYWELL,Clwyd, CH8 7EF,or 01352 715840. The set may also be released in Sprite and/or TIFF format,
or also with other graphics on CD-Rom.
For Educational Authorities & Schools a site licence is available.
Studio Graphics have no direct control over the use to which this product is
put and therefore offer no warranty, implied or otherwise, relating to its

Try putting them into !Artworks !Poster or !DrawBender to change their shape.By the way not all of the flags are the same size ratio, these I believe to
be correct, some may also need to be zoomed up or down.
Use Mode 15 in order to see the correct colours, !RePaint, !Chamelion may
need to be used to correct the colours for printing.
I have mainly worked only on national flags, and not all of the state flags,
which sometimes do differ to the national flags, often having very
complicated coats of arms.
In preparation I used the Jonathan Martin's !DrawPlus and refered to the
"Orbis Encyclopedia of Flags & Coats of Arms", "Flags of the World",
"Collin's Little Gem Flags", "The Macmillan & Silk Nautical Almanac" and
various encyclopedea then re-drew each one. Some flags may have some
complicated detail scanned from various sources on a R.M. Nimbus ((P.C.
A P---K'S COMPUTER) which I called the 'Archimedes input device'!) as spritesbut then 'traced' to be drawfiles. To save the P.C. users feeling out done I
hope that the file will be available in that format. I don't know how long
it took but I have learned something about flags!! Also at times I heard the "Morning Chorus"!
I have tried to be as accurate as possible but do not take any responsibilityfor any errors that may exist.
Many thanks to Geof Owen for advice and his general support.
This is a greatly extended version of the one that was originally released
as a P.D. package and previously soley distributed by Mike Witkiss's
