  2. Voyage of Discovery VGA/PAL Notes

  5. Voyage of Discovery supports Monitor Types 0,1 and 3 
  6.                 
  7. 50Hz  625 line PAL (TV) standard, in Modes 9 and 13 (Monitor Type 0).
  8. 60Hz 1050 line VGA/SVGA in Modes 48 and 49 (Monitor Type 3).
  9. Acorn Multisync in Modes 9,13,48 and 49 (Monitor Type 1).

  11. Multi-sync monitors will run the game in either PAL mode or VGA mode,
  12. depending on the Desktop Mode on startup:

  14.     (1)  VGA modes, (eg: Mode 27), will put the game in VGA Mode.
  15.     (2)  PAL modes, (eg: Mode 12 with Monitor type 0 or 1),
  16.          will put the game in PAL Mode.

  19. PLEASE NOTE:
  20.  
  21. - ARM2 Systems (eg: Non upgraded A310/A3000), will slow down in VGA Mode.
  22.   A3010/A3020/A4000 and upwards are okay in VGA Mode.

  24. - Modes 48 and 49 (soft-loaded by !Voyage), although official Acorn games
  25.   modes, may cause problems on systems that are running other modules
  26.   using the same mode numbers (such as Taxan monitor software).
  27.   The solution is to prevent your system from auto-loading such a module
  28.   or contacting your monitor supplier for a version of the module that
  29.   does not use these mode numbers.
