  4.  The Dimensional Borders volume contains 50 fancy borders 
  5. for all your art projects. These are not your blah 
  6. borders for the usual business purposes; they are artistic
  7. designs for flyers, newsletters, greeting and notecards, posters, 
  8. framed prints, cover pages, and so on. Shading and perspective have 
  9. been used to create the illusion of depth, carving, embossing, or 
  10. wrought metal.  These effects are quite difficult and time consuming 
  11. to create, and that is why they are so seldom seen in PCX format, 
  12. which is the format most sought after by users.

  14. Although many of the designs don't show up well on the screen,  
  15. they print out beautifully. Also, they can be resized without 
  16. losing quality of shading, a characteristic not often found 
  17. in bitmaps.

  19. These files are compressed, and must be uncompressed to your hard disk.
  20. Do this as follows:

  22.         C:\>md borders (or directory name of your choice)
  23.         c:\>cd borders
  24.         c:\>borders>copy b:\(or a:\)*.*
  25.         c:\>pkunzip *.zip
  26.  
  27. Because these are very high resolution images--clean and sharp--they 
  28. are large, and occupy many bytes. If your hard disk is crowded
  29. (and whose isn't?), you may copy the uncompressed images to floppy
  30. disks, and import  them into your applications directly from the 
  31. floppies.

  33. A registration fee of $10.00 US funds brings our newsletter 
  34. catalog, and entitles you to purchase additional 
  35. images in several catagories as they become available. 
  36. If you cannot afford the registration fee,
  37. enjoy using the designs, and pay when you can.
