  1. This is an example of a animated slideset. You are looking at a       
  2. Daphnia (water flea) -  although the sequence is quite brief. To      
  3. ensure Microscope for the PC does not cost you a lot of much money to 
  4. evaluate, this slideset along with the core software and the Guide02  
  5. slideset were designed to fit onto 2 shareware discs. If you wish to  
  6. make up your mind about Microscope's potential before registering for 
  7. a professional version or unlimited shareware use licence, other      
  8. shareware packs exist with both 'still' and 'animated' slidesets in   
  9. greater detail; please consult your local Shareware disc vendor.      
  10. This slideset provides a glimpse at what Microscopy has to offer -    
  11. either from your armchair, using Microscope for the PC - or by buying 
  12. a real Microscope yourself.                                           
  13. As the author of this software, I would recommend Microscopy as a     
  14. rewarding hobby especially to any like-minded person who shares my own
  15. intrigue for reflecting on life and the meaning of the universe.      
  16. It also provides a relaxing aside from the pressures of modern life.  
  17. I never meant to become involved with Microscopy as a hobby: I simply 
  18. thought it would be interesting to build some software on the subject.
  19. That was over two years ago and the time spent since, and what I      
  20. discovered on the way has changed my view of the world quite a lot.   
  21. The more I look, the more I see - forever stunned by events I never   
  22. suspected existed. For example, this tiny water flea spinning on a    
  23. drop of water no larger than a tear-drop reminds me of what an        
  24. enormous universe a simple pond must be to the creatures within.      
  25. I am without doubt that everything I have witnessed has taught me more
  26. about my own existence and revealed more about the purpose of the     
  27. cosmos and my tiny part within it, than anything I have ever seen.    
  28. It is a pity I did not discover such amazing beauty a long time       
  29. ago. This water-flea may spin instinctively and never know that - for 
  30. a brief moment - it was caught in the full glare of my camera, a tiny 
  31. life in a mighty universe; but I will always know how fragile a moment
  32. it had: maybe our own  lives are not so different?                    
  33. If you would like to change your perception of everything around you -
  34. go buy a Microscope! If time or money stops you - register for        
  35. Microscope for the PC, sit back in your chair and let me take you with
  36. me on an incredible journey into the unknown.
