  68. This package contains the MWAP - MEDLIN WINDOWS ACCOUNTS PAYABLE, by
  69. Jerry Medlin, MEDLIN ACCOUNTING SHAREWARE.  This document contains only a
  70. brief description of the package and its features, along with
  71. instructions for its installation.  Detailed documentation is included in
  72. the package in the form of a Windows Help file and a .WRI file.

  74. If you've ever wished you could easily handle your A/P and Check Writing
  75. with a Windows program, WITHOUT SPENDING TIME READING A MANUAL, then MWAP
  76. - Medlin Windows Accounts Payable is the program for you!  This program
  77. is very quick and easy to use.

  79. MWAP - Medlin Windows Accounts Payable is a shareware program.  This
  80. evaluation version includes all features of the program.  You may use it
  81. for up to 30 days, without charge (see MWAP.HLP for more details).  If
  82. you like the program, and wish to continue its use after this evaluation
  83. period, you are required to pay for the program. Any fee you may have

  103. ===== Installation =====================================

  105. The installation procedure for MWAP - MEDLIN WINDOWS ACCOUNTS PAYABLE is
  106. quite simple.  The disk package includes a program, "SETUP.EXE", which
  107. automates the entire process.  MWAP requires less than 1/4 megabyte of
  108. disk space.  The program requires no changes to any existing files on
  109. your hard disk.
  110.  
  111. The file VBRUN300.DLL must be in your Windows\System directory for MWAP
  112. to run.  It is not included in this .ZIP file to shorten your download
  113. time.  If you do not have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL, it should be available
  114. from the same source you downloaded MWAP.  VBRUN300.DLL is a "library"
  115. file that is shared by most windows programs.  You only need one copy, no
  116. matter how many of your programs use it.

  118. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  119.  
  120. To install from diskette, you need to perform the following steps.
  121.  
  122.    o  Place MWAP distribution diskette in the appropriate diskette
  123.       drive. Start Windows.
  124.  
  125.    o  Execute the "SETUP.EXE" program on the distribution diskette,
  126.       either by choosing File/Run from the Program Manager or by
  127.       double clicking on SETUP.EXE from the File Manager.
  128.  
  129.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  130.       The program will ask you for a destination directory, and will
  131.       copy the MWAP files to that directory.  If you so direct it, the
  132.       installation program will install executable programs and
  133.       documentation in other directories of your choice.  It will not
  134.       modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys files or any Windows files.

  138. INSTALLING FROM A ZIP FILE
  139.  
  140. If you downloaded MWAP from a BBS (or received it in the form of zipped
  141. files from some other source), perform the following steps.
  142.  
  143.    o  Use the File Manager or drop to DOS to create a directory on your
  144.       hard drive. You may use any allowable directory name, but we
  145.       recommend MWACCT to be consistent with the setup program supplied
  146.       with the diskette version.  Change directory into the new
  147.       directory.
  148.  
  149.    o  Run the unzip program by typing PKUNZIP MWPR18 from the DOS prompt
  150.       or from the File/Run section of Program Manager.
  151.  
  152.    o  You may run the program directly from File Manager or create a
  153.       program group and a program item using File/New in Program Manager.
  154.       You must have a copy of VBRUN300.DLL in your Windows System
  155.       directory for the MWAP program to run.  Chances are you already
  156.       do.  If not, you may download VBRUN300.DLL from any BBS.

  160. Once you've complete the installation, you should consult the help
  161. file ("MWAP.HLP").  You may read the MWAP.HLP by double clicking it from
  162. the File Manager or by pressing F1 from inside MWAP or by choosing HELP

  164. file sequentually by clicking the >> symbol.
